I started working
on a watercolor sketch
on plain bond paper.
After three washes
the paper began tearing.
It’s unfinished but
it can’t take more work.
I knew the paper was thin.
Now I’ll never see
the image finished.
I should have used good paper.
It’s not that costly.
Start things properly.
You want to go all the way
and finish intact.
